An Aalen edition of the the world’s most famous board game will be launched in time for Easter 2026

Aalen is a city shaped by history, culture, and innovation — and soon it will be celebrated in a specially adapted edition of Monopoly.

In close collaboration with the Aalen Tourist Office, Alpine Editions has developed an exclusive, fully customised edition of Monopoly dedicated entirely to the city of Aalen. The game design is now complete, and production is underway.

Monopoly Aalen will be go on sale in time for Easter 2026.

The classic Monopoly gameplay remains unchanged, but streets, stations, and cards have been completely redesigned to reflect real places, landmarks, and elements of life in Aalen.

Across the board, players will encounter a carefully curated selection of locations and themes that represent both historic and modern Aalen, including:

• Iconic landmarks such as the Kocherburgruine, Schloss Fachsenfeld and Aalbäumle

• Churches, cultural institutions, and museums

• Local events and festivals

• Local organisations that are part of everyday life in Aalen

The result is a lovingly designed portrait of the city, brought to life across the game board, humorous cards, and board squares. The result is a playful journey through Aalen’s past and present using a timeless, world-famous and much-loved board game.
