The world’s most famous board game is coming to Antibes!

Antibes is a town of exceptional charm, culture, and Mediterranean heritage — and soon, that story will be told through a specially designed edition of Monopoly.

Alpine Editions is developing an exclusive, fully customised edition of Monopoly for Antibes, inspired by the town’s unique character, history, and way of life on the Côte d’Azur.

Located between Nice and Cannes, Antibes is renowned for its rich cultural legacy and vibrant atmosphere — from the Picasso Museum and Fort Carré to the old town, the Marché Provençal, Port Vauban, and the stunning Cap d’Antibes. This special edition of Monopoly will celebrate both the historic heart of the town and its modern energy, using the familiar and much-loved Monopoly game format in an engaging and playful way — for residents of Antibes, visitors, and lovers of the Riviera alike.

Monopoly Antibes is officially in development and is planned for release in time for Christmas 2026.

Discover Antibes — square by square

The classic and familiar Monopoly gameplay remains unchanged, but streets, properties, stations, and `cards are entirely reimagined using real locations, landmarks, and institutions from Antibes.

Planned features include, among others:

  • Iconic landmarks such as the Picasso Museum, Fort Carré, Port Vauban, the Marché Provençal, and Cap d’Antibes

  • The character and atmosphere of the old town and seafront

  • Representative local businesses, shops, and institutions that contribute to the town’s identity

The result will be a lovingly designed portrait of Antibes across the game board, cards, and spaces — a journey through history, culture, and everyday life, brought together in a timeless, iconic board game.

For everyone who loves Antibes

Whether you live in Antibes, grew up here, spend your summers here, or simply hold special memories of the town, Monopoly Antibes will be a truly unique collector’s item.

This edition will capture the unmistakable character of Antibes — elegant, lively, and deeply rooted in Mediterranean tradition. As a tribute to local pride, Monopoly Antibes will be:

  • An ideal gift for families, friends, employees, and clients

  • A distinctive souvenir of the Côte d’Azur

  • Perfect for family gatherings and relaxed game nights

Local businesses: Become part of Monopoly Antibes

Monopoly Antibes is designed to reflect the town in all its richness and diversity — and this naturally includes the local businesses, institutions, and organisations that helped make Antibes what it is today.

For this reason, a limited number of sponsorship placements are available. These placements allow companies to become a permanent part of the game, for example through:

  • A dedicated space on the game board

  • A custom-designed Chance or Community Chest card

  • Placement of the company logo on the Monopoly box, and more

A unique and lasting marketing opportunity

Once the design is finalised, Monopoly Antibes will be reprinted repeatedly for many years.

And remember: a Monopoly game is never thrown away. It is played, shared, passed on, and enjoyed across generations.

This gives participating brands long-term visibility across thousands of playing sessions and countless hours of attention - with no ongoing costs for advertising, content production, or campaign activation. The Monopoly brand does the work for you.

As the number of available placements is strictly limited, we recommend getting in touch early.
